Print function in Lightroom Classic has just suddenly stopped working.

Question

Print function in Lightroom Classic has just suddenly stopped working. I can press print and the "Prepairing Print Job" feature lights up but the uplaod does not start. Nothing shows in the print que either and the program is frozen and has to be shut down. Restarting and hitting print starts the whole cycle over again .  I have turned bother printer, program and PC off and restarted to no avail and checked for posts on this matter but found nothing. Any assistance would be appreciated.  I have checked that I have the latest Adobe updates. My printer is an Epson SC800 and it is printing a text page correctly and working with other software.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
