Question

Print Templates Folder in Windows C:\

Recently we are using Adobe MSWindows11 in stead of MacOS because of a payment system. The students need to login/logout in Windows and Adobe. After restart all settings, pictures etc. will be deleted in order to not clog up the hard drive (privacy). The Print Templates are stored on User level so our custom Templates are gone each User logs out. Is it possible to put the Print Template Folder in the 'root' Folder?

Well, I found that W11 has a feature 'Hidden Files' so you can put the Print Templates in "Default" and they reappear after restart but not in every User account unfortunately. Also, the Custom Template doesn't remember the Page Setup settings after restart so I have to update the template setting at every login. Does anybody recognise this and maybe have a solution?

Hey there,

We're sorry for the trouble.

They'll be in a folder named similar to:

Windows: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\[preset or template folder]\[preset or template filename.lrtemplate]

Have a look at the linked Help document for more info: Preference file and other file locations | Lightroom Classic CC and Lightroom 6

Also, you can check this to learn more about print job options.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Thank you for the reply, our IT guy fixed the issue concerning the custom templates not showing in every User account (some users have the issue though). Thing is that every user needs to 'update with current settings' every custom template.
