Hello,

I have my photos in folders in the Documents folder on my iMac. When I opened Lightroom after the upgrade to OS Catalina ; Lightroom asked for permission to access several folders - I inadvertanly click no for access to documents.... how do I reset the Lightroom premissions. I have tried uninsatlling Lightroom and then reinstalling the problem persists ; likewise when I reinstalled Catalina.

I would appreciate any assistance

Regards.....John

Consider the new security settings in Catalina (in System Preferences). Look at the Privacy tab, look at Files and Folders

Seek some information at the Apple Help pages-

    https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/mac-help/mchlp1038/mac

I do not use a Mac but reading info like this is curious!

macOS Catalina runs on a dedicated, read-only system volume called Macintosh HD. This volume is completely separate from all other data to help prevent the accidental overwriting of critical operating system files. Your files and data are stored in another volume named Macintosh HD - Data. In the Finder, both volumes appear as Macintosh HD.

    Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

WobertC, thanks for the reply. 🙂

I tried changing the access to read & write for all. Unfortunately this has not resolved the problem. 😞
