Hello.

I recently downloaded a trial version of Lightroom.

On the first run, the application worked very slowly.

After I closed the application, the computer continued to operate slowly. At one point the computer got stuck and an empty blue screen appeared - so I had to reset the computer.

What I need to do to make the application run faster and better?

And how to prevent my computer from getting stuck?

thanks.

(I using in Windows 10)

Have you tried disabling GPU acceleration? Let us know if that makes a difference.

Go to:

Edit >> Preferences >> Performance (tab)

Lightroom >> Preferences >> Performance (tab) on Mac OS

Uncheck the box “Use Graphics Processor”

Then click OK

I you have a compatible graphics/video card certain features will take advantage of the GPU rather than the CPU. The main benefit is seen by those using e.g. brush strokes on large monitors such as the retina 5k display.
