Problem opening LR

I was having trouble with LR Classic thisafter (the edits I was making were not showing up in a photo as stored in exploreer), so I shut down LR and my computer. When I restarted it, and tried to open LR, I got the following message:

 

      Lightroom cannot use the catalog named "Lightroon-Catalog-v12" because it is not writable and   

      cannot be opend.

 

What does thhis mean? And how do I fix it so I can use LR once again?

For some reason (not having done anything other than look at permissions), when I clicked on the v12 catalog, LR opened. So, problem solved.
