problem saving back to LRC

Until recently when I opened  a file in in PS from LRC it would always save it back to the same folder.

Now it saves it to the last folder I used in Photoshop and I have to import it back to LR.

Is there a way I can get it to save it back to the same folder in LRC?

Thank you,

JohnL

Try resetting PS Preferences file as outlined at the below link.

Thank you very much for this suggestion.

So far, after I made the changes, it seems to be working correctly.

In PS Preferences> File Handling make sure 'Save As to Original Folder' is checked. Close and restart PS and try again.

Thank you. I've always used the "Save to original folder."

When I just save it usually saves back to LRC . When I'm finished editing I prefer to save with the a print size or some other identifying item with the original file name. It has worked fine for years but recently it doesn't save that way. If I make any change it sometimes saves it to a recent folder or to the original folder and not to LRC. Also when I save as a tiff or psd it won't always keep the layers. Even when I open in PS from LRC with the original or copy. It does save the layers in the saved folder LRC won't open them into PS.

I appreciate you help.

John

I always use "File Close" when I'm done editing in PS, and the edited file shows up right along side the original image in LR.

Try using Save and not Save As.
