Problem with automatic mask select subject

On your screen capture, can you expand mask 1 as to show the brush in use.

I agree with @Jao vdL here too. I've seen this myself as well. The only solution in the meantime is to manually remove the unwanted areas by subtracting with a brush and Auto Mask.

    The AI is not able to recognize the subject here even though it is obvious to us. Only solution would be for Adobe to fine-tune their AI more. I don't think there is anything you can do to improve it.
