Problem with Classic version 13.0 Missing images.

After upgrading to Classic 13.0 I discovered that a ton of images from the last 2 years was missing.  I assumed it was because the last time I upgraded the catalog I screwed up big time and instead of upgrading to the current catalog I upgraded to an older one.  Recently spent 2 hours on phone with Adobe tec support.  He said that my problem of missing images was something that they have been experiencing with version 13.0.  He took a copy of my catalog and said he would get back to me with 72 hours.  he also showed me that the metadata had been changed on some of my images.  Meaning that going to DATE under metadata and choosing 2020 he found images that had a later date in the metadata section.

yesterday I received a standard BS letter from Adobe in which nothing is mentioned about a resolution to my problem  The options they gave me were to check with the community or them.  I will be calling them tomorrow.

Anyone experiencing anything similiar to this?

    I'm having huge issues with Catalogs lately - posted something about Named People not working correctly but seems to be somewhat similar to your issue.  When my Named People was working before most recent disappearance, many of the previously Named were showing up in grid with a blank, grey box even though double clicking through got me to the photos.  There is clearly something very wrong with this latest version.

    What's stopping you from upgrading the correct one?

    that  issue has been addressed and is beyond correcting.  main issue now is the missing images as stated.

    If you mean by the Adobe support staff, then likely not. You stated they took a copy of your catalog, what catalog, the broken v13 one? Have you looked for a different catalog and double clicked on it?

     

    Your fellow members in this community site are largely not Adobe employees, The actual Adobe employee sent you to this community, not for great invite by Adobe, but for a Hail Mary that actual users could help. What does that say about the Adobe tech?

    Check your computer for other LrC catalogs. LrC during an upgrade can foul up what catalog should be upgraded.

    p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
