Many thanks .... changing the preferences to the latest version of the catalogue (v12) has fixed the problem. Your help is much appreciated.

How much versions of Lightroom do you have install? Do you uninstall during installing the latest main update to LR 12?

Please check if you starting the actual version of Lightroom (version 12).

Please check the settings of your default catalog in the preferences.

Without further explanation about what you are trying to do, and how you got to this point, I would assume you should click on YES (but how would I know which one is correct for you in this situation?). You can't hurt anything by clicking on the wrong one.

Being unaccustomed to using this forum platform (first time ever) I couldn't see how I was supposed to enster any text when I'd added the screen grab. Didn't appear to be allowing me to do so. Thanks for your response. I'd like to sort this out as it's asking me this question every time since I upgraded LRC. I'm just cautious about doing the wrong thing. I'm assuming I just need to delete all the V10 and V11 related files from the Lightroom folder ? See further screen grab.
