Hi @Doudi-l'apprenti, Thank you for reaching out! Sorry to hear about your issue.

Could you please share more information about the issue, like your system information (from Help> System Info> Copy and paste it into a text file and attach it with your response)? Relevant screenshots or screen recordings would also be incredibly helpful in getting a clearer idea of the issue. You can share via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or another public file-sharing platform with your reply.

While we wait for it, you could try out these fixes and see if they solve anything.

1) Check Plug-in Manager

You may refer to this article for help: Troubleshoot Plug-ins in LRC

2) You can try resetting your Lightroom Classic preferences with the help of this helpx article: Reset Preferences in LrC, but make sure to back them up if they are crucial to your workflow by copying the preferences file to a safe location. Go to /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.LightroomClassicCC7.plist. If you need to restore your preferences, copy the backed-up file back to its original location, replacing the existing file.

3) Allow Permissions to LrC and Luminar on your Mac (Provide File and Folders, and Full Disk Access). You may refer to this Helpx article for steps and further information. Allow Permissions to Lightroom Classic on macOS

Let us know how it goes!

Cheers!

Hi Noel,

Thanks for your response. Here’s the additional information you requested:

 System Info:

  • MacBook Pro 14”, Nov. 2023

  • Chip: Apple M3 Pro – 18 GB RAM

  • macOS: Sequoia 15.5

  • Lightroom Classic version: 14.3.1

  • Camera Raw version: 17.3.1

  • Catalog and files are stored locally

  • I already tried the following steps:

    • Verified Full Disk Access for both Lightroom Classic and Luminar Neo

    • Reset Lightroom Classic preferences

    • Reinstalled the Luminar Neo plugin from the Skylum menu

    • Restarted both apps multiple times

Problem remains:

Luminar Neo does not appear in the “Edit In” menu of Lightroom Classic as it used to.

When I try to use “Edit in another application…”, Luminar opens the image, but there is no “Apply” button, only Export, so the image doesn’t return to Lightroom Classic.

It seems Lightroom Classic is not recognizing Luminar Neo as a proper plug-in anymore, even after reinstallation.

Would appreciate any further insight!

Thanks in advance,

Doudi

Hi @Doudi-l'apprenti! Thank you for your response! I appreciate the effort. I'm sorry to hear that none of the troubleshooting has worked so far. I looked at your system configuration, and nothing stood out as unusual. Let's try some more troubleshooting and see if it fixes anything.

Check "Store Presets with Catalog" Setting: In Lightroom, go to Preferences → Presets and ensure "Store Presets with Catalog" is unchecked. This setting can interfere with plug-in visibility.

Test with a New Lightroom Catalog: This can help determine if the problem is with your current catalog.

1) Go to File > New Catalog....
2) Create a new catalog on your internal drive (for testing purposes).
3) To simplify, import a few files directly into this new catalog and try reproducing the issue.

I found a potential fix in another thread. You can also try it out if you like. Solved: Re: Photoshop to Luminar 4 (or Neo or AI) - TIFF a... - Adobe Product Community - 14020640
