Problems to be solved before purchasing a photography plan

After updating MacOs to Sequoia 15.2 I can’t open lightroom classic 6.14 anymore. The list of catalogs is opened and at the first click the program closes and the warning comes out 'unexpected closing of Lightroom'

Is there a solution to this problem?

second question: with the latest version of LRC 14.1 can I upload the catalog of my current LRC 6.14?

Thanks

I do not believe you can reinstall Lr 6 on Sequioa. I believe the only choice is to use the new Lightroom Classic (current version is 14.1.1) which you can only get by subscription. Your existing work in the Lr 6.14 catalog can be used in LrC 14.1.1, the Lr 6.14 catalog should upgrade. However, as I stated above, some people have to upgrade first to LrC 13.2 catalog and then upgrade that to LrC 14.1.1. Please download the free 7-day trial of Lightroom Classic and try it.

Also please note that the software is no longer called "Lightroom". There is a different new software called "Lightroom" (which can be confusing) that you do not want. You specifically want to use "Lightroom Classic" and not "Lightroom".

If you install LrC 13.2, you should be able to upgrade your Lr 6 catalog. Then, install LrC 14.1 and upgrade the LrC 13.2 catalog to LrC 14.1

@dj_paige  Is there a reason not to install Lightroom Classic 14.1 right away and open the Lightroom 6 catalog in there?

It has been reported by some people that LrC 14 sometimes refuses to upgrade Lr 6 catalogs. If that is the case (not sure, I didn't really understand the OP's statement), then this method of LrC 13.2 upgrading the catalog followed by LrC 14.1 upgrading the LrC 13.2 catalog works. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-error-when-upgrading-from-legacy-lr-6-to-lr-classic-14/idi-p/15019707
