Problems with color labeling

IN Lightroom Classic 12.4 I use the filmstrip to select photos I want to work on later. However, when I set a color label for a photo the grid view and the filmstrip jump to a view showing only the photos of that color label. I'm sure I have somehow changed or selected a setting that causes this. How do I fix it
