Question

Product Photography

New User here. I've noticed that youtubers posters on product photography are hastily skipping over the LR/PS workflow after they have taken multiple snap shots of their product. Example would be a shot for rim lighting, labels, and other effects to bring into PS from LR.  Any suggestions on tutorials that specifically address the LR/PS workflow as well as the product set up. Most youtubers in particular tease with post product workflow as many offer a series of classes on this subject. I get it and I've tried a few of these classes, but came away disappointed.

Thanks

Dave

Would you mind posting an example video?

From the sounds of it, it could be as easy as basic edits in Lightroom and then some simple blending with masks and layers in Photoshop.  But it will be different with every photograpghers workflow and unique to individual images.

If it does involve Lr + Ps, having a good foundation in those programs is pretty helpful.

Thanks George F; Yes, I agree a good foundation is crucial. I'm getting there by watching as many tutorials from Adobe or youtubers on the basic for beginners, many of which are very informative. I rather not post an example video as I feel it might be construde as throwing someone under the bus. I know its hard to help without examples. It appears the hurdle with 'product photography' is you have $$$$ tied up in studio equipment and try to achieve a goal with one shot and minimal post processing, or with a few speedlights, reflectors, diffusers etc and multiple shots to achieve your goal with a more lengthly post processing process. I'm in the latter. Again George, thank for the post.
