Profile Browser - profiles now showing

Hi

I am having problems with the Profile Browser. I created some profiles with ColorChecker Camera Calibrations a while back, imported them into lightroom and it worked very well. But after an update the profiles I created have disappeared.

I see them in the profiles folder in finder. I tried removing them from the folder and than reinstall them but with no luck. (Restarted and evrything is up to date)

I am using a mac and Big Sure and the newst verision of Lightroom and Photoshop.

Any ideas?

I found out what I was doing wrong. The profile I created was created for another camera body. I thought I could use the profile for this camera too but now I understand it is only for the camera you create the profile for. Thanks everybody for your help!!

Also, found a solution. There's a webiste, http://presetconverter.com/ , that lets you conver your XMP files into LTR files. It's kind of garbage that Adobe doesn't do this automatically, but whatever.

I feel like this really comes down to a UX/UI problem that should be solved by Adobe. For all presets and profiles, why not have a "Show in Finder" button in Lightroom that opens Finder to the specified location? 🤯

How about posting a series of screenshots walking thru the ussue.

1. In Develop module, shiwing in filmstrip, image active, in loupe, image, and include info as to file name/type

2. In Develop module, step thru selecting the profile, first up clicking on browse

3. Then showing the non Adobe profiles.

"I am trying to put the profile on a RAW file as usually."

Triple-check you are really editing a raw from the proper camera by taking the image into Develop and typing "i" to show the info overlay with the filename in the upper-left corner.  It's not uncommon for people to think they're editing a raw when in fact it's a JPEG (the LR user interface makes that easy).

The file you have selected actual untouched raw file from the camera? DNG?

Just a thought.

Go to Profile Browser > + button > Manage Profiles and see if the Profiles group is unchecked?

I am trying to put the profile on a RAW file as usually.

And yes the location is correct.

I tried to reinstall the profiles than Lightroom says that they are already installed. Yet they are nowhere to be found in the Profile Browser

I'm actually trying to add profiles to this folder but nothing is happening. I've gone through all the steps below, too, and also nothing happens. Not sure what I'm doing wrong? 🤷‍♀️

Do you have a raw image from the same camera selected? They wouldn't show if you had a JPEG.
