Program keeps crashing

My Lightroom Classic program keeps crashing out after processing a few photos. I have down-loaded the latest version and use Windows operating system. This occured yesterday after swirching off the computer during a power failure. All other programs on my computer appear to be working Ok, except LrC.

Is there a correction or fault finding proceeedure I can use?

Many thanks,

Mike Bridgeford

If resetting preferences doesn't help:

1. Double-check that you have LR 11.3.1 installed by doing the menu command Help > System Info -- often people are misled by the Creative Cloud app into thinking they have "the latest".  LR 11.3.1 fixed a nasty bug that caused LR Windows to crash soon after startup.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling LR 11.3.1 via the Creative Cloud app.

3. You could also try rolling back to LR 11.2.  Based on forum comments here, LR 11.3 and 11.3.1 are much buggier than typical LR releases.

Hi Mike, to help others, can you indicate which of the methods helped (resetting preferences, installing 11.3.1, reinstalling, or rolling back to 11.2)?  Thanks.

First, please try if it helps to reset preferences:

Open Preferences from the Edit menu. While in General tab, hold down the Alt key, and you will see the following:

Reset all preferences ...
