tijdens het analyseren van grote import sluit het programma steeds af.

Hierdoor moet je iedere keer opnieuw beginnen en kun je je workflow niet afronden.

I assume you're using the Assisted Culling function. Here in the forum there are several posts of users with similar issues.

    My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 9 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

    Hi @g_7916,

Thank you for reaching out. As Johan and Ian mentioned, your system information (Help > System Info) would be very helpful. In the meantime, based on what you've described, I have a few targeted questions and suggestions.

    A few clarifying questions:

    • When you say the program closes during "analysis" of a large import, are you referring to the AI Culling feature that automatically scans your images during import? Or do you mean Lightroom is building Standard/1:1 previews and crashing during that process?

    • How much RAM does your system have? Open Task Manager (Windows) or Activity Monitor (Mac) during the import and watch for Lightroom's memory usage to climb to near your total system RAM just before the crash. This is particularly relevant given the symptoms you're describing.

    • Approximately how many files are you importing at once, and what file types (RAW, JPEG, a mix)?

    Troubleshooting steps to try:

    • In the Import dialog, don't use the to Assisted Culling, just import without it. Once the import is complete, you can run the culling analysis separately on smaller batches.

    • Rather than importing all images at once, try breaking the import into batches of 50–100 images.

    • Check available disk space on your catalog drive.

    • Also, you can try copying the images locally to your desktop, importing from there, and seeing if that stops the crash.

Please share your system info and answers to the questions above, and we can narrow this down further.

    Best,

    Anshul Saini

In addition to the info requested by @JohanElzenga , it would be useful if you also more clearly defined what you mean by ‘large imports’ (i.e. number of files and their type)? Also, what do you mean by ‘analysis’?

You need to give more information. Go to ‘Help - System Info’ and post that information here.
