PSE 26 to Lightroom Classic catalog

Question

Is it possible to import my PSE26 catalog to Lightroom Classic? It seems looking at the list only up to 2021 might be supported.

Photoshop Elements 2026 Organizer
PSE26DB catalog

If it isn’t, is it likely to be added or do I need to make a decision about whether I can be bothered to start over with 50000 photos which have been tagged, faces added, albums created, dates and places all checked?

You can have PSE write metadata to the files, and then you don’t have to re-create that metadata in LrC. Some PSE metadata does not transfer this way, but I no longer remember what. Keywords and captions and titles will transfer just fine.

Typically, Lightroom Classic adds support for the latest versions of PSE in a later release. They don’t always sync.

Also, LrC 15.4 ought to be released soon. Maybe that’s the release that will have support for PSE 26. But no guarantees either.
