Question

Publisher (Harddisk) failing to publish

Lightroom Classic: 8.4.1

macOS 10.15

When attempting to publish via Harddisk the process fails with the following dialog;

Can’t update this collection.

An internal error has occurred: assertion failed

I suspect this is a Catalina realated issue, but it could be a coincidence.

I was able to pubish one collection before this happened, but now any attempt to publish and existing or new collections fails in the same way. Checked permissions and everything looks okay.

Anyone else come across this or have a fix/workaround?

This was still a problem with the latest November release, so I finally managed to get whole of Adobe support.

Short version it was a catalogue issue. Started a new one and it was fine.

Normally this would have been quite annoying, but i had only just started a new one mirror from Adobe Cloud anyhow.

Thanks David, yes the folder is writeable and lightroom can access it.

i will try the sledgehammer approach of full disk access later, but not convinced it will help due the the first export working

Check the folder you are publishing to for access rights.
