Questions re edits to photos synced from iPhone to Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic

Lightroom CC on my iPhone is set to automatically acquire camera roll photos taken with the iPhone camera. Lightroom Classic on my iMac is set to automatically sync with photos in Lightroom CC.

I understand the process to be working like this:

- Take photo with iPhone camera

- Photo appears in iPhone camera roll

- Photo is copied to Lightroom CC

- Photo is synced from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic

Once we get to this point, any edits I make to the photo in Lightroom CC will be synced to Lightroom Classic and vice versa (with certain exceptions, e.g. keywords). Also, if I delete the photo in Lightroom CC or in Classic, it will be deleted in both places.

All that's working fine.

My questions:

- If I apply edits to the photo in the iPhone using the iPhone Photos app, will those changes travel to Lightroom CC when the photo is acquired by Lightroom CC from the camera roll? My observation is that yes, that will happen, but only if the edits are made immediately, before the photo has a chance to be acquired by Lightroom CC. And acquisition by Lightroom CC happens just once, immediately following the photo being taken, correct? So once the photo is acquired by Lightroom CC, no additonal changes made to the copy on the iPhone will sync to Lightroom CC, correct?

- My understanding is that the process as I've set it up results in a situation where I essentially have two copies of every iPhone photo I take: The one on the iPhone and the one that's syncing between LRCC and Lightroom Classic. So if I want a photo out of my life completely and deleted everywhere forever, I have to delete it on the iPhone and separately delete it in Lightroom, correct?

- If I delete a photo in Lightroom that was copied to Lightroom from my iPhone camera roll via sync, the iPhone's copy of that photo still remains on my iPhone. Thereafter, will Lightroom CC on my phone ever return to iPhone camera roll at a later time and RECOPY that photo to LR from the camera roll?

I think what I'm really wondering about is the nature of the sync relationship between iOS Photos and Lightroom CC on my phone.

Sorry if these seem really basic questions but I want to make sure I understand.

As handheld devices with cameras and editing software merge, there will be a transition period I believe and its looks like that's what you are essentially wondering about.

Q1: I'd say yes, but cant you test this?

Q2: Yes

Q3: I'd say yes to your proposition in this question

In general, I'd be using Collections carefully to sync only what is required between LRCC and LR Classic.
