Randomly does only a partial import from iPhone to LR Classic?!

iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 17.5.1

MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.5

Lightroom Classic 13.4

When I connect my iPhone to my MacBook and try to import photos to Lightroom, it sometimes sees them all, and sometimes not!! There doesn't seem to be any predictability to it. For example, say I have 20 photos on my iPhone and connect to Lightroom to import: It might "see" 15 of them but not the other five. Also it will often grab photos from months ago that have already been imported and see them as "new" even thought they're the same exact photo. I do have "Don't Import Duplicates" checked. Driving me crazy!! Anyone else? Any fix??
