I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 16GB RAM and recently update Lightroom Classic CC to the most recent nag of the software to update it.  The software launches as a smaller window.  During hitting the expand screen feature, it crashes, and this has been the same issue since the update.  You guys really need to beta these updates for 6 months befror launching on ever platform that could be out there.  This is unacceptable with trying to get work out for clients.  This makes me look unprofessional, and your last update is the direct cause.  FIX THIS!

You know, there really is an extensive pre-release program for Lightroom. There are several pre-release versions tested before an official release is offered to the public. But it's unrealistic to expect Adobe to support an operating system (Windows 7) which is no longer supported by Microsoft. After all, you are three operating system versions back from the currently released operating system from Microsoft, and yet you are expecting full support from Adobe. Just one thought, have you tried running Lightroom in compatibility mode?

Seeing that the version that I upgraded from ran without issues on Windows 7 Ultimate, yes I fully expect the newest version to be flawless upgrade from the previous installed option.  As a computer person, Windows 8 and 10 are not that different under the hood of the software.  More hidden tools, and a slightly different means of operating, but the core of the system is the same.  So yes, I fully expect Adobe to adapt the software to work.  I am paying for it, and it's not working, then what am I paying for?

I'm sorry, I don't have an answer for you. I'm just a user. I don't have any connection with Adobe whatsoever. I try to help where I can, and I have no suggestions in your case, except for one. I ask again, have you tried the compatibility mode in Windows 7? Did it make a difference? Other than that? I have no idea what to suggest. It's unfortunate that you're having those problems. I'm not saying that you don't have performance problems. I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't. If it was a simple problem it would have been resolved years ago. But unfortunately, this has been an ongoing issue that just doesn't seem to get resolved. Your computer either runs Lightroom well or it doesn't.

Adobe has thrown a real wrench into the mix. I use Windows 7 Pro on a system built exclusive for the Adobe products and the processing of RAW files. Before the update I was golden, post update I'm at a crawl. I'm now at the mercy of Adobe until they get this figured out.  ¿if they get it figured out? I'm literally behind on all jobs because of the stalls and hiccups. ¡This is fun and we pay for this! If this doesnt change soon I will have no choice but to start looking at trails of competitors for a smoother faster program. This sucks I'm on a business connection and I have to wait for a RAW file to load give me a break, can't even adjust a slider. Seriously Adobe should be paying us all on the slowdown of workloads. I'm deleting all my Adobe products wiping my system and reinstalling to see if this helps any, it has in the past..  No choice but to go look at the competitors. Good luck.
