"Recently Modified" issue

After editing a bulk amount of images I will go to the "Recently modified" section to grab all edit images and place them in clients gallery to by imported.  

THE PROBLEM: Recenlty when I go into that section it inlcudes all images I scroll over, including unedited images and edited images! When I go to place edited images into clients gallery I am forced to scroll through all the images AGAIN and manually pick the ones I edited out? Which is one of the biggest most frustrating time suckers during editing time...... 

Ive talked with lightroom agents MULTIPLE TIMES .... Very disapointed with my recent staff help. Ive been bounced around and dropped super quick from conversations. I've updated lightroom, updated computer and added it to full access on my computer... I am seriously at such a loss. Do i have to cull images before I edit as my only option??
