Reconnecting a large number folders after changing folder locations and heirarchy.

Question

I have ~800 missing shoot-date folders that all need to be reconnected under newly created YYYY-MM parent folders. Is there any supported way to bulk update folder locations, or must Update Folder Location be performed one folder at a time?

All the files and folders are present on the disk. I just need to find an efficient way to tell LR where they are. All folders in folder panel have question marks.

I originally successfully moved the folders under new sub folders from within LR. Unfortunately, the catalog I used for this got corrupted. I have a backup catalog, but because the folders were physically moved on the disk, the backup can’t find them.

See Figure 4 and associated text to reconnect all subfolders folders of a single parent folder in one action. If the folders that show this problem are not subfolders of the same parent folder, then you will probably have to reconnect the folders 1 at a time.
