@julesr63268106  Start at the beginning and tell us WHY you are wanting to extract JPGs from Previews.

Have you lost ALL of your original files?

Do you not have backups of your original files?

Have you deleted files un-intentionally?

TBMK There is no reason to "placing the previews in a folder ". What are you referring to? The Previews in the Catalog, or the JPGs created by the extraction?

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.0, Photoshop 27.0, ACR 18.0, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0 .

I am not following! The folder destination for the extracted JPGs is chosen in the Extraction dialog. The Extraction Tool automatically places them in the chosen folder.

In Screen-clips (Jeffrey Friedl's Plugin)-

1) Select (highlight) the photos you want to extract. (A Folder, All Photographs, etc)

My selected photos in one folder-

2) Run the Plugin

3) Enter the required Destination Folder for the JPGs- I called mine {RECOVERED PREVIEW JPGS}

4) [Begin Extraction] and the following screen appears listing the extracted images-

5) And if you click on [Visit in Explorer/Finder]- that is where you will see them - In the folder you defined in the dialog.

Adobe refer to their 'plugin' as a "script"- but I would be inclined to use the plugin by Jeffrey Friedl.

EXTRACT JPG PREVIEWS (Adobe Script)

Yes that's what I tired , everything works only the last step,  placing the previews in a folder , is not possible.

I don't know of any scripts, but this LrC plugin by Jeffrey Friedl http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/preview-extraction should do what you're asking
