Reformatting Lightroom from Mac to Windows?

Can Apple based Lightroom be reformatted to a Windows program without loss of data? I have a Lightroom Classic subscription first on a windows based pc and when I switched to a Apple MacBook, I had to establish a new Lightroom catalog which I have built over the past year. I know they are formatted differently and I couldn't previously merge my two catalogs. My MacBook recently died and Customer Support wasn't able to give me a definite answer whether I need to purchase another Apple Mac or lose all my recent work if I return to a windows based computer. Can anyone give me an answer?

Catalog (.LRCAT) files are 'universal' - They can be used on either PC or Mac systems, and essentially you need the camera image files also.

So (in simple terms)- Install Lightroom-Classic on the PC, and copy Mac>PC the Catalog, Image files, AND Presets, etc.

You will find great info on 'what to move' here-
