Renumbering

Hi, when renumbering RAW files in Lightroom Classic I find I'm left with a set of original files and a set of renumbered files, is there a way of only having a set of renumbered files?

Yes, I select all Raw files in Lightroom and batch renumber, I end up with a set of renumbered files in the same folder as the original numbered files.

I renumber them with say Adobe 1

So you rename them. Can you show, with screenshots please, how you do that? Also mention the original file names and the new file names, because that may explain the problem.

Are you talking about renaming (with numbers in the file name), or something else? Please post some screenshots to illustrate the problem (use the insert photos icon, do not attach them). You should never get two sets of the same files.
