Repeat freezes in LRC and PS beta

Built a new computer running Windows 11 Pro with Intel Ultra 9 285k chip 64GB ram and Nvidia RTX5070Ti 16GB; 2TB C drive, 2TB D drive.  I am getting repeated screen freezes in LRC and PS beta and have to reboot to restore.  Graphics Card and all software is up to date.  I disabled the Windows compatability group as suggested.  Still having issues.  If you have had these issues and resolved them, I need some suggestions please.

Thanks for the update. Let me know how it goes.

@Sameer K  Update on the issue.  It appears to have been caused by my D drive which is a SSD 2TB internal drive.  We pulled the Nvidia graphics card and the drive and reseated both.  Chose a different slot for the SSD.  I have not had another freeze, error, or shutdown while using LRC or PS beta.  Hopefully, this is the end of it.

Hi @TxRanger

Sorry to hear about this experience. I agree with what @dj_paige mentioned. However, since you’ve mentioned you’re using a new computer, could you please go to the Help menu and share your System Info? This will help us rule out any hardware-related issues.

Additionally, try launching your system in Safe Mode to see if that helps improve performance.

Also, the newly launched Photoshop 27.0 update is available in the Creative Cloud Desktop app. If you haven’t already, please install it and let us know how it performs.

Regards,

Srishti

Reboot means your computer has frozen, not LrC. This happens because either you have a bad driver somewhere, or a hardware malfunction somewhere. Reinstall the latest version of your graphics driver, and make sure it is the Studio driver and not the Game Ready driver. If that doesn't work, you will probably have to start checking your hardware for malfunctions.

Thanks DJ, I did that.  I also installed the latest bios from Nvidia.  I have tried everything that everyone has kindly suggested except run in safe mode.  I will update what happens today.

Its hard to imagine that running in Safe Mode will fix the problem, but it couldn't hurt to try it. Then next step is to identify hardware malfunctions.
