Restore Library On New Drive

Question

Hoping someone can help.My Lightroom classic library is stored on an external drive with additional safety copies on different drives.I have recently included my main external drive in my Time Machine back up and was experimenting to find out the process of recovering my  Lightroom Library should anything happen to the drive. I successfully restored the library from Time Machine to a spare external drive. The files and folders are the same size and all images appear to be there but as the new drive has a different name all images have the exclamation mark. Does anyone know the best way to fully restore a Lightroom library in the event that I had to rely on the Time Machine copy backed up on a completely new drive? Many thanks in advance.

I successfully restored the library from Time Machine to a spare external drive.  We don't know what this means; we don't know how you did this (the exact steps you followed) ; and apparently it was not successful. We don't even know what you mean by library, does this mean the photo files, or does this mean the catalog file, or both, or something else? Please try the instructions from @AxelMatt and if that doesn't work, then please tell us all of the above requested information, in detail.
