Review previews from HDR problem

I keep getting interrupted by a yellow rectangle asking if I want to regenerate previews for HDR edited images to render HDR in Library view.

I’m given the option to regenerate or cancel.

If I ask it to regenerate a task starts called refining Previews for HDR if I leave this going for 24 hours or so it stops functioning on the last time it said 1850 of 18390.

My only option is to cancel it

If I redo it the number 18390 does not reduce

I’m on Lightroom classic 14.0 .1 and camera RAW 17.0

MY MACBOOK M3 IS ON SEQUOIA 15.0 .1

I have made many of the new HDR images

Apart from this Lightroom seems to be working properly
