Running Lightroom after an upgrade

I bought Lightroom on CD over a decade ago and I use it occasionally. Since last use I have upgraded my motherboard and processor and updated to W11. When I first tried to run Lightroom after these changes I was offered a 32000+ day trial with no other options to continue. I clicked "Start Trial" and Lightroom just hung. And continues to hang on multiple attempts. Is there anything I can do to resurrect Lightroom?

Thanks

Lightroom is. trying to connect with servers that no longer exist. The workaround that others have found to work is to temporarily disable your internet connection, then click on the 'Start Trial' button. When  Lightroom sucessfully launches you can renable your internet connection.

Hopefully, above gets you up and running again.

Thanks again. I did try the simple version of what Ian Lyons says but to no avail. It still just hangs. The only slight change is that I now get "Continue 30 day trial" rather than "Start 30 day trial" (and on the first attempt "Start 32000 day trial". So I can't at the moment try the expanded version as nothing happens at step 1. I'll restart the PC and try again later (got to go out for a few hours). Alan

Tell us the version NUMBER of Lightroom you are using.

Show us a screen capture of this: "I first tried to run Lightroom after these changes I was offered a 32000+ day trial with no other options to continue." Use the "Insert Photos" icon to include your screen capture in your reply; do NOT attach files.

Thanks. I think it is version 6.0. I attach a screen print. Alan
