Saved Book but wrong format

Question

I saved a book but when I reopen I have an autoformat that in no way resembles the book i saved... must be pilot error but cannot figure out my mistake .... any thoughts? Hours of work are going down the drain.

If you did hit the Save Book icon in the upper right, the book should appear in your Collections Panel with the name you ascribed to it. It will have a different leading icon than the other collections.  Do you see any icon that looks like a book in your Collections Panel?
