Saving adjustments before moving on

I've just finished about 250 images for somebody and we are both happy with the results. However they now want to try something new. How do I store everything I've done to date and lock it away for protection, to enable me to begin again on another grading session with alternative adjustments?

Thank you

Create Virtual copies (then press Reset on the VC to revert to the starting point).

Or instead of creating VCs you could save Snapshots of the original edited images, then reset them back to start point to begin again. The snapshots are preserved and you can switch back to it at any time.

.....apologies, a little more info.

I've taken colour images and made most of them black and white. So if I take virtual copies I get a black and white image with no history to unpick. What I need is a virtual copy at the import stage so the new session starts from ground zero

Hope that makes more sense...
