Question

Saving LR Adjustment Brush & Gradient when Editing in PS

I wish that my adjustment brush and gradient actions in LR would show as selections when I then go to Edit in Photoshop. I like and use the the adjustment brush and gradient tool a lot in Lightroom, but I always finish my photos by going to Edit In Photoshop As a Smart Object. In almost every case, I need to fine tune the those LR actions by cloning edges or recreating the mask to do additional work in PS. It would save so much time if the masks were sent to Photoshop with the file. Is there anything on the horizon that would have that feature?

If you opened the Lightroom RAW file in Photoshop as a Smart Object you double-click the layer icon in Photoshop and it will open in Camera Raw and you can edit the brush and gradient.  If you LINK the RAW file than an XMP will be saved when you edit the linked file in ACR and you can READ the changes in the XMP file in Lightroom to keep the changes synced.

Thanks, Bob. I do know that, but what I would like to do is save the brush and gradients as selections. I find that refining in PS is more precise, but mostly I want save the selections so that I can use them in PS to do make adjustments, add filters, etc that can't be made in LR or ACR. Currently there seems to be no way to do that.
