Question

Screen turns off when using Denoise.

I am using Windows 11 with 32GB RAM and an RTX 3060 Ti 8GB. My graphics card drivers are up to date, and all my programs are confirmed to be the latest versions. My computer runs normally, but whenever I use the Denoise function in Lightroom, the screen turns black.

It's not a monitor issue, and the PC itself keeps running, but only the screen goes black.

I have also tried disabling the graphics card in Lightroom's performance settings, but the same issue persists.

What could be the cause of this?

I found the cause of the problem. When I went to the computer repair shop, I saw that part of the cable connecting the power supply and the graphics card was burnt. After replacing it, the issue was resolved.

In addition to the system info via LrC, please post in a reply a screenshot of your LrC /Preferences/Performance/

Mostly intetested in any issues noted for the GPU, and what is stated for level of support. That 3060 should be fine, but....

On Windows computers, there is a preference setting to turn off the monitor after X minutes of no user interaction (key press or mouse movement). That could be the problem.

Thank you for your response. However, as soon as I press the denoise button, the screen turns off. And now, even after rebooting, the screen does not appear. To check for monitor issues, I connected an external monitor, but the same symptom persists.

Disabling the GPU will not make any difference, since Denoise will use the GPU regardless of that setting.
