Searching Text Produces Incorrect Results in Library Filter

When I search Text and select 'Any Searchable Field' by a specific text I get images that have nothing to do with the search term in my results. Is there any way I can find out why the search term is putting those images in the results?

Thank you,

David

Check that the text is not part of a word. Use 'Contains words' rather than 'Contains all'.

Lr Classic 12.4

I know this is an older thread, but I have this issue as well.  If I use either Contains or Contains Words I get different result, but both results still have images that don't have the specific text searched for, either in part or whole.

In the case of a raw file I have looked into the .xmp file and can't find the searched for text anywhere in the file, either in part or whole.  Same with looking into a .tif file.

I have that same problem.  I am limiting my search to the keywords field and still get images whose keywords do not match the search criteria, regardless of whether I use "contains all" or "contains words".

Please do not post a "me too" message in a years old thread. That is pretty useless. If you have a problem, start a new thread and explain your problem properly, giving examples. Add a screenshot if that can better explain your issue.

If you haven't already done so, then I recommend reading through this document from Adobe's online help database How to find photos in a catalog in Lightroom Classic CC
