Set up a new Mac Mini M4 Pro and transfer old catalogue from an intel chip iMac

I am setting up a new Mac Mini M4 Pro.  My old iMac is a late-2015 Intel chip and I have been advised to do a 'clean install' to avoid bringing over any Intel problems.  When I set up the new Mac, I will need to download a new version of Creative Cloud.  I assume it will install Lightroom v14 (or later).  My current Lr catalogue is 13.3.  When I transfer the old catalogue over to the new Mac (with a newer version of Lightroom) will the old catalogue still work; or will it be automatically updated; or will there be a disconnect that will cause me a problem?

LrC 14 will ask you if you want to upgrade the catalog. You reply in the affirmative. Then you wait a minute or two, and that's it, you are ready to go with your LrC 14 catalog. That's it.

Thanks you for the link.  I'd seen that article before.  Very useful.  My specific issue is not covered in that article though.  My concern is that I cannot upgrade my current iMac to the latest version of Lightroom Classic (the system simply can't cope).  So my catalogue is stuck at version 13.3 until I get my new computer.  When I login to Creative Cloud and download the LrClassic application, I suspect it will be the latest version.  I am not sure therefore how it will cope with my LrClassic catalogue version 13.3 I'd it is version 14.
