Sky masking edits disappear after synch

I do real estate editing exclsuively. Recently, the "select sky" tool in LR Classic 14.2 is not working. When I select sky and apply an edit and then synch the sky edit to additional files the sky frequently reverts to its originall state. It seems to be getting worse.
Today it started reverting those edits when exposrting to PS, which never happened before. It has also started negating remove tool edits now.
Anybody else have this issue?
I have uninstalled/reinstalled

You need to Update the Sky Mask and the Remove; that is what the Red Dots tell you. LrC needs to recompute the AI stuff.

Building on drtonyb's reply, you can select a batch of photos in Library and do the menu command Photo > Develop Settings > Update AI Settings. That command will quickly skip over photos that don't have AI masks or removes that need updating.

Thanks, I will try this. I do want to stress that I have been using the sky mask tool and using synch to copy the mask for months and never had a problem before. Now, the skies just revert over and over.
