Slideshow caption adds quotation marks -- how to delete them?

I am making a slideshow in LR Classic 15.1.1 and adding a text box that inserts the caption from Library > Metadata > Caption. For some reason, the caption in the slideshow has quotation marks at the beginning and end of the text. In the Metadata > Captions, there are no quotation marks. Is there a way to remove the quotation marks from the slideshow captions?

UPDATE: I have no idea what I did, but now the quotation marks are gone. I would delete my post, but I don’t see any way to do that. Thanks.
