Slideshow Fails in LRC 14

Just installed the opdate for LRC 14: Since then the slideshow does not work anymore. An Error Message Apears "Dynamic Link-Medienserver konnte nicht gestartet werden" (Dynamic linc media server could not be launched). Tried a full re-install fron scratch  - even with empty catalogue. Problem persists.

Thanks for the additional information. I was starting to wonder if the lastest version snuck in an incompatibility. Unfortunately I am now stuck--I can't go forward and I don't want to go backward due to a lot of edits done on Ver 14+.

It's unfortunate that sloppy version control is affecting Adobe customers like this. I will run this past the Tier 2 guys to see if there a possible resolution.

Again, thanks.

There is no resolution that will allow LR 14.1 and greater to run on CPUs that don't support AVX2 instructions. If there were, it would have been posted in the authoritative thread moderated by Adobe employee Rikk Flohr:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-ideas/p-allow-cpus-without-avx2-to-install-adobe-products/idc-p/15091190

Your choice is to keep running LR 14.0 and live without slideshows and video support, or roll back to LR 13. People here can help you with how to roll back to LR 13 without losing your develop settings and metadata changes (though you'll lose stacking and collection changes made in LR 14).  Don't rely on Adobe support for this -- they're not to be trusted.

Did not hear back from Adobe. From my recherche, I find that this is a backward compatibility problem of the driver. I would never wokr with my (old) CPU.  Since then, I have a new desktop computer, the message is gone, however, slode show still freezes afet the prepatartion of the first or second image.

I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?

OK, thanks for the feedback. I am waiting for a call from Adobe tier 2 support to continue trouble shooting this issue further. Will report back if it is resolved.
