Slideshow Stroke Border Not Displaying at Photo Edge in Lightroom

Hi everybody, I hope somebody can provide me with the right hint. I would like to view/play my slideshows with a stroke border, black or white, on the edge of each file/photo. However, when the file is cropped, very often the desired border does appear correctly in the preview but does not show at the edge— but rather at a distance from it—when the slideshow is played; the larger the crop, the more distant it shows. Why is this?

I've tried with several combinations of Crop & Straighten settings (custom, original, locked/unlocked, etc.) but could not find the correct way out. Can anybody help?

Thank you in advance.

In my Windows system I cannot replicate what you are suggesting. The Slideshow Options [Stroke Border] always fits the stroke to the image regardless of a crop (eg. square, rectangle).

OTOH in the Book module this is a known result where the Stroke Border places the stroke on the CELL boundaries even if the image is cropped (eg. a square image in a rectangular Cell.)

Can you post some screen-clips?

I am posting a screenshot as an example. I wish to add that the problem occurs in Landscape view only; in Portrait it works correctly regardless of the amount of the crop.

Thank you.

I have to admit that I am 'stumped'. I cannot replicate what you show in your screen-clip.

My tests always fit the stroke to the image- (Landscape, Portrait, square)

A file of small pixel dimensions may not fill the defined margins unless the box is ticked for [Zoom to Fill Frame], but the stroke still fits the edges of the small image.

Do you have [Zoom to Fill Frame] checked 'on'?

Is it possible your image in the screen-clip already has an inherent grey border (created in Photoshop mayabe?).?

It also might help an answer if you post a clip of your panels in the slideshow module as this-

Someone else may have experienced the same problem.
