Slow Import from Synology NAS

Hello everybody, 

 

i am using a synology NAS for my RAW files and After shoot for culling. Recently the import into lightroom started to be very slow. Sometimes almost nothing happens for minutes or hours or i have to restart. It used to work just fine. On some projects I need to copy the files to an external disk to import them. 

anybody an idea what I could try out? 

- using an iMac (2020) and synology nas dsj & Lightroom classic

Curious if you ever resolved this and if so how you fixed. Having similar issue with my older (errrrrr ancient) Synology DS215J when I import from Lightroom Classic so thinking old Synology is the reason.

Make sure your network connections are not timing out or having other malfunctions. There are plenty of similar discussions about importing from network drives, please search for them.
