Slow Lightroom Classic Develop Mode on LAN – Seeking Community Advice

Hey community,

I've been encountering a peculiar issue with my network setup and Lightroom Classic on my 3 iMacs, and I'm reaching out for some support and advice.

Issue:

When I import photos into Lightroom Classic (even from the local drive, not the shared drive), the Develop mode becomes painfully slow to load up with sliders and tools. Interestingly, if I unplug my LAN cable, everything works smoothly. Worth noting, our LAN network does not have an internet connection.

Setup Details:

- 3 iMacs connected in a network sharing a drive.

- Lightroom catalogs are stored locally on each iMac.

- LAN network without internet connectivity.

Request for Assistance:

1. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with LAN setups affecting Lightroom's Develop mode performance?

2. Are there specific network configurations or settings I should check?

3. Could the absence of internet on the LAN be a contributing factor?
