Slow to mark an image as rejected - Export taking too long

My lightroom Cc (pc desktop)  updated overnight to 14.01. it is so slow that marking an image as rejected takes forever. Exporting 700 images is taking HOURS.

I took the catalogue back to 14.0 and now the problem seems stuck.

This is painful - I'm a wedding photographer, it was fine yesterday 😞 This is so frustrating.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post. Also large amounts of text in a post also render the Translate function inoperable...

Same problem here. Just updateed to LrC 14.01 from 13.xxx and my M3 MacBook Pro has been reduced to a 30 year old PC running windows 95.

@carolynb1595488

Using 2022, Mac M1 on macOS 14.7 - LrC 14.0.1
Tested exporting 698 raw files as JPEG from local drive to local drive
Time to completion: 6 Min 35 seconds

The time it is taking on your end suggests you have a system issue causing the long export times. Without other details about your system and export configuration, there isn't much to go on here.

Places to investigate:

  • Free space on hard drives
  • Bad Lr installation
  • Bad preference file
  • Location of originals/export
  • Conflicting software.

My answer was a combination of this:https://www.reddit.com/r/Lightroom/comments/1cexddr/why_is_lightroom_cc_so_slow_to_use_even_on_top/

and this: turning graphics processor: OFF (the update that downloaded October 19 2024 must have turned it back on)

posting this in case someone else had the same problem.

Update:

I started exporting 711 images to jpg last night before bed.    It is now 8am the next day, and they are STILL exporting.

Lightroom  - please undo whatever this was supposed to fix, an export like this used to take 40 minutes.  I'm desparate. This new update means a single wedding export will take days...

I have same issues since May. Adobe just answered to change my hardware. I can't believe this is the reason when I read a lot of users who complain.
