slow to send prints to printer from lightroom

Im running a Mac Studio Max  32gb ram   latest lightroom and OS . When i send my first print to the printer it goes out fast, each time i send a print the time gets longer and longer after about 12 prints going to the printer i get a spinning ball after i press command P.  Even when the printer has printed all the print the next one will take longer to send to the printer queue.  When i quit lightroom and then restart it, it will work fast again but each print after takes longer and longer to send to the queue.
