Soft Proof Issue in release 13

Prior to updating LR to the latest version, when I soft-proofed an image, it would generate a virtual copy with the proper ICC attached.  Now, when I click on "Create a Proof Copy", it says one is created but there is no virtual copy as before - nothing.  This is hindering my printing output.  Any input?

Thanks,

Mark

Like @Jao vdL  I cannot reproduce this failure either.

Standard troubleshooting applies:

Have you reset your preference file?

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop, it can change your local storage location. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.

I have exactly the same problem. I guessed it might be filters but it isn't as far as I can tell. As I only switch from Lightroom CC to Classic for the proofing and print tools I'm frustrated to say the least.

Thanks for the response. This has also happened a long while back when developing DNG files.  I also found that the image file on my drive was not (at least for now) damaged.  I was able to load it into Photoshop and use Camera Raw to develop the file.  It is a bit maddening though.  BTW, I do 3 backups just to be safe.

My original files seem OK. Good point about multiple backups. I can tell that a Proof file hasn't been created because the option to create a Soft Proof remains in the tool panel. When I used to create Soft Proofs that option disappeared as Lightroom knew I was now working on the Proof.

Works correctly on my machine. Are you in a filtered view or smart collection perhaps? Easy to miss (happens to me all the time 😉 )

Thanks for the response but no, not in a filtered view or smart collection.
