Question

Something weird happening when passing between Lightroom to Photoshop and back again

Hello,

I want to call attention to what I assume is a bug. Adobe must see. I've had some other small imperfections show up over the last few weeks, but these are obvious!

Check the background for brown lines and also look at the fingers of the girl who's sitting down.

Thanks

Please provide a lot more details about your workflow, and about the edits you do in Photoshop.

If you view the image at 100% in Photoshop when you've finished editing, and then at 100% in LrC when it has returned, do you still see a difference?

Can you confirm that this is the imperfections?

In the future, please do no attach images, use the Insert Photos button in the toolbar to insert them in your posts.

Hi @ImaRetiredTeacher! 👋

Could you clarify what you need help with? Also, which tools did you use and what version of the apps are you using?

Thanks a lot!

Best, Alek

Hi,

I want those weird lines not to appear. I'm using the latest version of both programs. I do almost all editing in LrC. I only use Photoshop to remove things I don't want or, as in the case of that background, to tone down distracting bright spots. In the case of this image, as with most, I only used the remove tool.

I have attached the image before sending it to Photoshop, after sending to Photoshop, where I used the remove tool and AFTER it has been sent back to LrC. To clarify, the bottom image is what I received from Photoshop, which is the only one where I see those weird lines.

I ended up re-erasing the lines in the background and cropping tighter to get rid of her hands so I could submit. It might be better that way anyway  😃

Thanks for your help, Alek!

I have no idea what's causing this. Can you confirm that you're still seeing it when viewing the image at 100%?

Also, there is no need to go to Photoshop for this, LrC has its own Remove tool that will fix these details easily.

I have inserted your images below.

PLEASE do not attach images, use the Insert Photos button as described in my previous post.

This poorly designed forum has a prominent Attach feature that encourages users to attach images.

Attachments are awkward to view – they load slowly, and you can only see one at a time.
