Sony A7V raw unsupported or damaged

On Sony A7V, when I import the raw files in LrC and I move to the development tab then LrC pops up a message indicating that the files are either damage or unsupported. My LrC is on version 15.1, I also moved the raw files to a local folder but it did not work. Please help I'm leaving for a trip in 2 weeks and wants to have this issue solved before I leave. Thanks for your help.

Make sure your camera is set to record in Lossless Compressed Raw, the only format supported by LR 15.1.  See here for details:

I'm right there with you! I've just spent the past 7 hours trying to figure out how to "recover" these files after a client shoot. ChatGPT couldn't help me figure out the problem and I've gone round and around and now I'm drained and have a bad headache from all this anxiety and screen time.

Someone please help us figure this out!

Hi! I stupidly shot a client session on the wrong RAW setting and now cannot edit my photos. Do you have any advice on how to convert them or am I just screwed?

Thanks!

@Josephine31850762ap6h: "shot a client session on the wrong RAW setting and now cannot edit my photos."

Use Sony's free Imaging Edge app:

https://creatorscloud.sony.net/catalog/en-us/ie-desktop/index.html

You can edit directly with that app or convert the raws to 16-bit Prophoto TIFFs you can then import into LR.  You won't lose visually noticeable quality, though Denoise won't work on the TIFFs and some of your presets may give slightly different appearances.
