"Sorry, an error occurred" ADOBE Lightroom Classic 13.0.1

I have encountered a problem with ADOBE Lightroom Classic 13.0.1 on my PC.

My PC specifications are: windows 11, AMD 3960X, RTX 3090.

The problem is that the software crashes as soon as I launch it. After a few seconds of opening the software, a message pops up saying: "Sorry, an error occurred". It then gives me two options: Send or don't send the error report to ADOBE. Regardless of which option I choose, the software closes immediately and I cannot use it at all.

This is very frustrating and inconvenient for me as I need to edit some photos urgently. I have tried reinstalling the software, updating the drivers, and running it as administrator, but nothing works. I hope you can help me fix this issue as soon as possible.

Thank you for your attention and assistance.

What "bug"?

You had a piece of software crash. That's every bit as likely to be because of something about your machine, as it is a bug in the software - or in this case, a problematic install, which can happen with any program.

Just like any other company's software, you mean?

Glad to hear you got this resolved.

This is one of the reasons I have a love/hate relationship with Adobe's products.  When something goes wrong, it takes this sort of effort to fix the problems.

I resolved the issue by uninstalling LR with the option of resetting preferences files.

This restored the software to its normal functioning. However, I lost some of the work I had done previously.

I hope the technical team is aware of this bug and will release an update to fix it soon.

Thank you for your assistance.

with the option of resetting preferences files

It was likely the preference file. A did you try resetting the preference file before the reinstall?

However, I lost some of the work I had done previously.

Same catalog as before the problem????
