Spot Healing not carried over after HDR merge FYI

Lightroom Queen stated Spot Healing was carried over as of 09-14-2021

• To apply adjustments such as Profiles, Spot Healing, Color Grading etc. (which can be applied during the HDR Photo Merge), make sure that the adjustments are made to all images or, that the image with the adjustments is the “most selected” image before choosing PhotoMerge > HDR.

I am finding the latter as of 11.27.23

Correct answer Rikk Flohr_Photography

"said as of Feb 12, 2019".
That actually is a quote from a white paper I wrote in 2014.

The behavior I would expect is that Spot Heals are ignored for HDR merges, and that appears to be the case, regardless of whether Heal is CAR (AI) Or Clone/Heal.

This is not user-settable.

These are two different things. If you merge to HDR, then all edits (including spot healing) are copied over to the HDR. That means they remain non-destructive Lightroom edits.  If you merge to panorama, then edits are copied over too, but spot healing is applied to the brackets before merge, so the panorama contains the spot healing applied to the pixels, not as a non-destructive edit.

In my case,, spot healing is NOT carried over to the HDR merge or HDR Pano merge..  It is for Pano merge.  Tried on both DNG and RW2 files.  Is there a setting somewhere that I may have turned off?  Was on with Adobe Support and went through everything and they could not find an answer.

If Adobe Support does not know the answer, then obviously it's not a setting you can turn on or off.
