Star Rating system

I use the star rating system. Recently I descovered my #4. folder is missing.  ? Maybe  and update or maybe I removed it on acedent. I dont know. My question is were do photos go if I select 0 stars or a number that dose not have a folder attached to it? Im using a mac. I can see the #4 star folder in older cataloges but not in the current vershion im using. V12.

    i'm assuming this is a lightroom classic question. if not, correct.

    V12 of what?
